Nursery Rhymes. Children Songs Videos

Here at LittleBabyBum we love bring you traditional nursery rhymes and children songs. They're handed down from one generation to the next and then on and on. They bridge the gap between your childhood memories and the current life of your own children! How magical is that?

Because of this hugely important reason we take the creating and making of our 3d animations very seriously indeed! It's vital for us to capture the essence of the original music and lyrics whilst giving them a little pat on their cute behinds(!) into the 21st Century. We do this by using the latest technologies that are available to bring all of our nursery rhyme videos to you in beautiful HD. We have them available to view for free via our YouTube Channel, LittleBabyBum. We feel that it's important for everyone, no matter where they are in the world, to have access to great quality videos for free.

LittleBabyBum started because we noticed that most nursery rhyme DVDs, CDs and online videos were not very good (being polite!) They didn't capture the feelings that we had felt as children singing these well known and well loved songs in the playground. Often the lyrics were wrong. Or incorrectly pronounced. Or had been changed. Or were completely different. Or added new verses. Well, you get the idea! But most of all the images and animation were of a really poor quality. We were wondering if the makers of these low-grade nursery rhyme songs/videos had noticed that children's TV programmes were now of an excellent quality (and had been for many years). How and why did they expect online viewers to accept a much lower grade of product? It didn't make a lot of sense to us!

So that's why we started. We get asked why this happened and where our inspiration for this project originally came from. So now you know!

We are currently in pre-production on our next nursery rhyme: "If You're Happy And You Know It (Clap Your Hands)" and can't wait for it to be released. Following this will be Row Row Row Your Boat (also in pre-production) and then Old MacDonald. We hope that these are as well received as are other videos. Our latest animation, ABC Song, is available at our YouTube Channel: LittleBabyBum.

Nursery Rhyme Videos That Repeat The Song

Since making our first animation, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star last year we've learnt a lot about what parents want from a nursery rhyme video. We have received hundreds of messages and emails asking us to loop over Twinkle Twinkle so we obliged with a version that repeats the video.

Since making this first video we have gone to make lots more and have been careful to make sure that each song repeats itself (usually after a little break in the middle).

No posts this month as we're waiting on the imminent release of our ABC Song animation. We thought it was going to be ready last week - and it was - except for one small detail which meant we've had to have it completely rendered again! So, we have a one week delay. But.......! We're hoping to have it ready by the end of this week. It looks stunning and we cannot wait to show all the Little Baby Bum fans our latest creation!

Our friends at Nanny.net have posted a really great article called: "10 Nursery Rhymes with Really Weird Subtexts" which features 10 (clearly!) well known nursery rhymes and gives their slant on the meaning behind the words!

Here's an example:

Oh, that’s just lovely. As if it isn’t bad enough that this dysfunctional family is living crammed together inside of footwear for a home. You would think odor control would be enough of an issue, but now, add to that birth control as well. Topped off with child abuse. Lord help us.

My nursery rhymes video channel on YouTube is slowly growing with more videos being added all the time. The idea is to make it the place for parents to come to to watch beautiful 3D versions of the songs they remember from their own childhood.

Currently we only have English versions but would like to know if there's a need for other languages? The main languages I think we'd possibly need to cater for, at least initially, would be:

Español (Spanish)
普通話 (Mandarin Chinese)

Nursery rhymes Videos from Little Baby Bum
The first kindergarten song from Little Baby Bum was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

We chose this children's song as our first  video because there seemed to be no hints towards a dark origin, or sinister meanings behind the song's words, making it free from controversy! However, it has to be said that, a lot of kid's song, which are usually aimed primarily at preschool aged children, do have more sinister histories!

We really love this 3d animation because we've completely changed it from its usual format and now have Baa Baa flying around outterspace in his cool spaceship delivering his 3 bags of wool to The Master, The Dame and The Little Boy (who lives down the lane)!
The next video to be released will be Incy Wincy Spider (The Itsy Bitsy Spider). There will be two versions to cover the US and UK versions. We're really excited about these animations - pre-production looks great.

I'm extremely pleased to announce that all of Little Baby Bum's current and forthcoming nursery rhyme videos will be available at TES! To say that here at LittleBabyBum HQ we are chuffed to bits, is an understatement!

YouTube Statistics - how many countries?

YouTube's reach is pretty amazing; truly global. Our new(ish) YouTube Channel of nursery rhyme videos has had an audience from 184 countries in around 4 months since our first upload! What makes this truly amazing is that there are a total of 196 countries in the world so we've been seen in nearly 94% of them!

I think that's pretty cool :)

Baa Baa Black Sheep 10,000 YouTube views

In this post from September 2011 I mentioned that our Twinkle Twinkle Little Star video had passed the 10k views on YouTube. This was 22 days after uploading it. Pretty good result as I was hoping for 10k views within the first month...

Really pleased and amazed to say that the latest nursery rhyme video, Baa Baa Black Sheep, has already hit the 10,000 mark after just 7 days! Fantastic...I wonder how many views it can get in the first month?

3d animation studios: How to choose the best 3d studio for your 3d animation project

3d modeling, 3d design, 3d animation movies, and so on, are extremely complicated processes (not to mention time consuming and expensive projects to put together,) so it's absolutely vital to choose a 3d animation studio that you're totally comfortable working with.
A 3d artist often has to create an entire 3d world and 3d design, with a mixture of 3d models and animated characters using the storyboards you created – so an open and honest communication is required throughout the projects' lifespans. Finding a team that has these qualities can be tricky and having done your due diligence on the company it becomes like anything else and also requires a decent dollop of good fortune! For instance a lot companies talk a good pre-sales talk but how many times have we all been let down once we've started using their services?
Here at Little Baby Bum we were extremely fortunate and grateful to have found Dream 4D – they were chosen from a pool of 45 bids. From the initial bids we examined each studio's portfolio of work and then asked some key questions about how they work, if they understand our needs, etc. This process took a few week by which time we had whittled the list down to just 3. From here we asked each studio to create something based on a storyboard (actually it was the storyboard for our Baa Baa Black Sheep video) and the answer appeared before our eyes and became a simple choice for us.

2012 looks set to be a busy year with at least 8 more animations of nursery rhymes being created. All of them will be available for free on our Little Baby Bum YouTube Channel and in HD.

Working alongside our brilliant 3D animation studio, Dream 4D, we will be releasing the following children's songs:
